Copper Water Bottles & Cups
I use a copper water bottle every day. I fill it in the evening, leave the water in it overnight, and drink from it first thing in the morning with a pinch of Celtic sea salt. Matching copper cups are also available if you want to buy them alongside the bottle.

Why I use copper water vessels
I use copper because of the health benefits traditionally associated with storing water in copper, and because it reduces the amount of plastic I'm drinking from. Copper water vessels have been used for generations, particularly within Ayurvedic traditions, and leaving water in copper overnight is a practice that has been around for a very long time. It's now simply part of how I drink my water every day.
Copper water in traditional practice
Storing drinking water in copper vessels is a longstanding practice in Ayurveda and other traditional systems. Water is commonly left in a covered copper vessel for several hours, often overnight, before being drunk the following morning. Copper surfaces are recognised for their antimicrobial properties, and when water is stored in copper, trace copper ions may be released into the water. This traditional use is one of the reasons copper water vessels continue to be used today.
Why copper has interested people for so long
Copper is an essential trace mineral that the body needs. It contributes to normal energy metabolism, iron transport, connective-tissue function and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Traditional accounts have also associated copper water vessels with digestion, vitality, focus, skin health and general wellbeing. These traditional associations, alongside the known properties of copper itself, are part of the reason copper vessels have remained in use for generations.
Reported and traditional associations
Copper water vessels have traditionally been associated with:
- digestion and digestive wellbeing
- energy and vitality
- trace copper exposure
- antimicrobial properties of copper surfaces
- overnight water storage
- reducing the use of plastic drinking bottles
- use within Ayurvedic traditions
These are traditional associations and known properties of copper, rather than claims that copper water can treat or prevent medical conditions.
The Routine I Follow

The Copper Bottle I Personally Use
The bottle I use is a hammered copper bottle that holds approximately 900ml. The same range also comes with matching copper cups, which hold approximately 280ml each. I don't personally use the cups, but they're available if you want to buy them alongside the bottle.
