Household Products — Cleaner choices for the home you live in
These are the household products I have swapped into my own home over time — not all at once, but gradually, as I found things that genuinely worked. Each one reduces unnecessary chemical exposure without making life harder. Start with one swap and see how it feels.
How I choose
I look for products with minimal, recognisable ingredients, meaningful certifications such as EU Ecolabel or B Corp, low-waste or refillable packaging, and real performance in everyday use. If it doesn't clean properly, I don't recommend it — no matter how ethical the brand.
Laundry
Fragrance-free, biodegradable detergents and laundry products that are gentle on skin and kind to waterways.
Kitchen
Washing-up liquids, surface sprays and kitchen essentials that clean effectively without harsh synthetic chemicals.
Cleaning Tools
Reusable cloths, brushes and tools that replace single-use plastic and reduce waste without reducing results.
Featured Pick
Bio-D Washing Powder
This is the laundry product I trust most. Fragrance-free, EU Ecolabel certified, biodegradable and ultra-concentrated — it works on everything from baby clothes to gym kit. A small amount goes a long way, which makes it genuinely economical as well as kind.
